Unattended Baggage

UNATTENDED BAGGAGE is a nebulous, ever-changing, experimental media collective of writers, directors, producers, visual artists, theater makers, filmmakers, actors, sound designers, and everything in between. Our focus is creating independent live performance (theatre & live comedy), digital/film/television/web series projects and hybrid media at accessible price points, with an emphasis on diversity in front of and behind the scenes. We are most interested in catering to younger audiences under 50, women, global majority folx, queer folx, punks, working class people, weirdos, nerds, and geeks--audience demographics that are typically ignored or undervalued by larger theatrical institutions and film studios.

Our sensibilities are experimental, edgy, queer, inclusive, and eclectic, often blending tones, genres, and mediums. We are interested in focusing on what some could categorize as "unusual subject material" and working with talent of all body abilities, sizes, gender and sexual orientations, races, and ethnicities. When it comes to theatre specifically, our goal has been to create "theatre for non-theatre people" and "make theatre actually cool and worth going to".

Simply put, we're interested in fun and colorful concepts. In our programming, we welcome adaptations and revivals (with a preference towards reviving/remaking obscure existing work), along with new work across mediums that anyone, regardless of their tax bracket, can afford to see.
